The Malaga Provincial Youth Orchestra in its debut at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid was a resounding success, in a joint concert with musicians from other Spanish orchestras for the I Encuentro Provincial Youth Orchestra of Malaga (jopma) and the Spanish Association Youth Orchestra (AEJO).
The president of the Provincial Council, Salvador Banner, he moved to the capital of Spain to support these young musicians Malaga.
Auditorium Madrid, with capacity for 2,400 people, was filled almost completely. The audience warmly welcomed there present the jopma since the end of each piece and end of the concert strongly applauded the young musicians Malaga.
The concert was offered by 59 musicians from the Malaga Provincial Youth Orchestra and 36 components of other orchestras participating in the meeting, which performed two classical pieces: "La gazza barks' and Rossini's' Night at the bare mountain 'by Mussorgsky in addition to the release of an avant-garde composition, 'A white sheet' by Juan Manuel Artez, to close with a magnificent performance of the symphony's "New World" by Dvorak. The address of the concert was given by Angel Luis Perez Garrido and David Quiggle.
Also, all national youth orchestras performed at the Auditorium of the Music, Malaga was the one who acted in full, by the importance level is jopma throughout Spain. An orchestra in which the musician youngest participant is 14.

- National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia (JONC)

- Aspiring Youth Orchestra Symphony Orchestra Albacete (OSA)
- Orquesta Joven de Extremadura (OJEX).
The jopma originally launched in 1991 with the name 'Camerata Académica' and since then is sponsored by the Diputación de Málaga, with the aim of spreading classical music for all peoples of the province. Their young musicians have played concerts in almost every municipality of Malaga, in addition to schools, child protection centers and other social centers as well as for corporations and entities. He has also participated in meetings and festivals in several Spanish cities and abroad.
The components of the association are children and young people aged 12 years or older who, mostly, are enrolled in the Conservatory. They rehearse every Saturday and attend the concerts are always scheduled during weekends, so they can reconcile their work in the orchestra with their studies. It should highlight the eminently didactic Orchestra since it complements the training of music students, makes them understand the theoretical concepts learned and apply them in practice. The repertoire of the Youth Orchestra of Malaga Provincial covers all eras and styles.
